Hacking education

Updated: Jun 7, 2019

We won a prize! We didn't sleep. But we were among the winners at an educational hackathon at the College of Education, Technology and the Arts in Tel Aviv.

For Oshi, stepping off a 12-hour flight from North America straight into a two day-all night hackathon was no easy feat. But taking part in this hackathon was a top priority and so sleep became a sideline idea.

Educational therapeutic clowns Leepa and Lapuk joined Oshi in the Educational Clowning Initiative's first-ever hackathon to introduce the academic world to the amazing initiative now taking place in Israeli schools.

And interest was high.

Mentors and educators even posed with a red nose for selfies with us.

So, we won a prize at the hackathon. But the biggest award was meeting all the educators, innovators, dreamers and wild idea makers. Our two pitches also made sure that educators, mentors from all fields and fellow entrepreneurs know about this educational initiative and how it is groundbreaking, innovative and disruptive.

As we noted in our pitch, if you choose to add humor in your life... you'll have a life filled with humor.
